AYOF Medals

Lucy returns to Northwich with medals!

English National Indoor Rowing Championships at Manchester Velodrome Sunday 27th January.



Northwich Rowing Club won a tally of 5 medals at the indoor rowing champs:

Mens J14 Team took Bronze medal -

Greg Murphy,Lawrence Williams, George Crouchley and Thomas Porter


Mens J18 Team took Gold medal -

Finn Lawton,Tom Asteriades,Zac Trigg and Harry Blake

Northwich Rowing Clubs open women team took the Gold medal -

Claire Webster, Emma Windsor, Dee Ashmore and Lucy Woods

WJ15 single  won Bronze medal -

Abi Davies

Womens over 30, 500m  won Bronze medal -

Well done to all the athletes who took part.

Australian Youth Olympic Festival - Northwich rowers shine!!


 
At the Australian Youth Olympic Fesival held in Sydney Australia 3 rowers from Northwich clubs each won 2 medals!

Lucy Burgess from Northwich won a gold in the GB womens four and bronze in the GB womens eight. Lucy just missed out on another medal  after coming 4th in the womens pair.

Emily Ford from the Grange School Rowing Club won silver in the GB womens quad scull and bronze in the GB womens eight.Emily also came 5th in the womens single scull final.

Ed Grisedale from Northwich Rowing Club scooped 2 bronze medals in the mens four and the mens eight. Ed also got the 4th fastest time in the mens pair.

The team manager was very pleased with  their success and with how they coped with the pressure  of racing in 3 different boats over a 2day event.

Well Done and Congratulations  to Lucy , Emily and Ed from everyone at Northwich  and Grange School Rowing Clubs.
